Baked Apple Dumplings with Cider Sauce

We like this recipe because the dumpling pastry wrapping the apple is very light and crisp.  It’s more like a thin, sweetened biscuit than a heavy pie-like pastry.  The large apples are cut in half as well making them easier to cook and smaller in size.

Warm from the oven with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream…mmmm, perfect for a cold, damp  January evening.  Check out the recipe on our Goodies/ Recipe page!

Farm animals will be on display.  An art show with local artist, Steve Burdette.  Order your holiday fruit baskets and select your jellies and jams for gift boxes.  Complimentary hot cider and snacks for everyone attending.  And special guest,

SANTA CLAUS, will be visiting  from 3-5 pm.

  Santa will be making his list and checking it twice!  He’s gonna find out who’s naughty and nice!

Who cares what the scoreboard says!  These girls and their team were winners.  After an intense field hockey game they were refreshed with Ivy Hill Farm apple cider, with no added sugar and no preservatives.   Individual serving sizes (16-ounce) are available and perfect when it’s your turn to provide refreshments for a sports team or club.

The Martin family invites you to stop by and visit Ivy Hill Farms for the best fruit, produce, plants, pork patties and other delicious goodies.

On our family farm, we grow vegetables, such as tomatoes, sweet corn, beans, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and cataloupes, as well as sweet cherries, peaches, and apples grown on our 60 plus acres of hillside orchard.

We press about 20,000 gallons of sweet apple cider from a blend of apples sorted out from apples kept for the retail sales.

Our greenhouse produces plants that thrive in the local area. Come in and see our assortment of perennials, annuals, herbs and landscaping plants.

We have a large selection of jams, jellies, and honey available for sale.

Don’t miss our annual Farm Festival, held on the second weekend in October! Come and enjoy our produce and take part in the fun!
